He didn’t give me too much info and what he did he said it was embargoed, but now the Cake Ösa has officially broken cover, and it’s one of the most interesting electric motorcycles out there. We’ve ridden Cake’s other model, the Kalk OR ($13,000), a 152-pound, 15-horsepower electric dirt bike. There is no key or fob or starter. Described by Cake as “a clean and efficient utility vehicle, with propulsion included and the ability to drive through the countryside” – the Ösa’s essentially an electric modular motorcycle which is available with either a 1.5 kWh or 2.6 kWh battery. I actually got to ride the Cake Kalk at AIMExpo this year, and at that show one of the PR folks there shared that the Ösa would be coming at a later date. Obviously there is no gear shift or clutch, so your left half is free to continue doing nothing on the Plus.Once up to speed, the bike is as quiet and comfortable as you might expect for a little electric scoot.
