My favorite of all, longevity is better than most other JM.Fresh and green, hazelnuts plus greenery and very light spice. A creamy, nutty gourmand unlike any other Jo Malone, exceptional longevity and silage.I'm not sure I have an ugly suggestion, but I do think most JM fragrances are just kind of meh.Thanks for that, I missed that I had mixed them up, and thanks for your input! I don't like Wild Bluebell, Peony & Blush Suede, or French Lime Blossom. It opened almost aggressively freshly, much to my surprise considering Jo Malone's reputation, and that burst of spice lasted for around 20 minutes, after which it transitioned into a subtle grapefruit note that perfectly captured both the fruit version's characteristic bitterness and a typical citrus-y sourness. I wish I could afford them.Good: English Oak & Hazelnut. So, I did and didn’t regret it. The scent lasted half the day.The good for me is orris and sandalwood.
Especially with it being in the black collection which are supposed to be more concentrated, (and thus pricier) I would consider this bad.Overrated: Wood Sage & Sea Salt. It's not bad, but there's a 10$ fragrance from Old Navy called Sea Salt Fig that's almost identical and has better longevity.Underrated: Oat & Cornflower.
I've found a shop but it looks sooooo expensive. T o most people, Jo Malone is a scented candle or fragrance handed to you by a loved one in a cream bag with a lovely black ribbon. Have you ever considered exploring by notes and then approaching new brands based on a handful of notes that you like?As for me, I think Jo Malone is universally overrated, falling into the territory of poor due to performance issues and humdrum notes choices. Compared to some designer brands who use cheaper, synthetic ingredients, with Jo Malone you are actually getting far better value for money than you do with other fragrance brands.
